How to Play
Ultimate 5-a-side is built around a simple idea: choose a mode, build a five-player team, then reveal the final score once the team is complete.
Basic team shape
Every standard team uses the same five-a-side structure: GK, DEF, MID, MID and FWD. This keeps the game quick and tactical because there are only five places to fill.
- GK: one goalkeeper slot.
- DEF: one defensive slot.
- MID: two midfield slots.
- FWD: one attacking slot.
Standard solo draft flow
- Choose a solo challenge or set up a normal Solo Challenge.
- Select the year range or special player pool if the mode allows it.
- Randomise a player and decide whether to accept or decline.
- Fill every position in your five-a-side team.
- Reveal the hidden ratings and final score.
- Submit the score to the leaderboard if you want to compare with other players.
Declines and risk
In draft-based modes, declines are limited. This means you cannot simply reject every player until the perfect option appears. The strategy is deciding when a player is good enough for the position and when it is worth gambling for someone better.
Bidding and online games
Online games allow players to create a room, share a code and compete with friends. In bidding formats, players use a budget to compete for players. Winning a major player can be valuable, but spending too much too early can make it harder to complete the team.
Final score and leaderboards
When a team is complete, the game reveals ratings and calculates the total. The final score can be shared as an image, saved, or submitted to the relevant leaderboard for that game mode.
